FAQ

What kind of church is City West?

In short, we are a Christ-centered, bible teaching, family of believers. Being Christ-centered means that everything that we believe and do is about Jesus. Bible-teaching means that the Bible is our ultimate authority on all matters of faith and life. Being “family” means that our church isn’t defined by programs, but by the how we love and truly care for each other. Everyone is welcome and valued. At City West, we want everyone to grow in their walk with Christ and become more like Him.

When and where does City West meet?

City West currently has one main service: our 10 am Sunday Worship at Gotha Community, 9561 Gotha Rd Windermere, Florida.   Please join one of our home-based Small Groups which meet once during the week.

What does Worship usually look like?

We sing and worship together, hear God’s Word, share Communion together, and enjoy each other’s fellowship. We’re not about a big show, we just want to be very real and worship Jesus as a family might.

What should I wear?

We’re all pretty casual; so, please feel free to “come as you are” so to speak.

Are there programs for kids?

We do not have separate programs or classes for kids. We want children to be included and involved in the Worship services. We are encouraging a multigenerational environment where all our younger ones are connected in the larger church family.

How do I get connected?

First, we ask that you “come and see” what we are all about. This means that if you worship with us for a few weeks and get to know us, you’ll have a pretty good handle on who we are and what we are about.

Secondly, check out our Small Groups. SG’s are the true lifeblood of City West and that’s where you will get connected to others and where life really happens and where spiritual growth happens.

Also, join us for lunch at least once after the Sunday service. Usually, several families head out to lunch each week after the service to fellowship and we encourage our visitors to join us.
